As of today, stage 3 has been completed on the Audi A8 (4H)

0-100 km/h in 2.80 sec (without rollout)

0-100 km/h in 2.63 sec (with rollout)

100-200 km/h in 5.54 sec

I had quite a long acquaintance with the Audi Series 8. At one time, I owned several A8s in the D2 body as well as the S8 in the same body, and then the S8 v10 in the D3 body, and finally got to the D4 body

With a very interesting and promising V8 4.0 biturbo engine.

This same engine with the same initial power of 420 hp is under the hood of the Audi S6 (C7) and Audi S7.

The engine works in tandem with a fast 8-speed automatic transmission, which perfectly understands the "two-pedal start" and really handles its duties excellently. In "comfort" mode it is soft and smooth, and in "dynamic" mode it is relatively rigid and fast.

Despite its impressive size

( 5.3 meters in length ) the car turned out to be relatively light, weighing 2040 kg (weighed)

It is worth noting that this is one of the few cars that slightly outperform the dynamic characteristics declared by the manufacturer.

The car came to me on unattractive small 18" wheels, but this had a very positive effect on its dynamics, but more on this later in the blog

The car's interior is quite strict, saved by the changeable lighting on the ceiling and in the doors, making its strict interior a bit more colorful.

Although personally for me, the interior loses a lot to the W222.

As is tradition, I will go through the pros and cons in my opinion:

Pros:

— The level of comfort is quite high

— Excellent noise isolation, at a speed of 200 km/h you can whisper inside the car.

— Externally, it looks quite aggressive on LED optics

— Even in stock it drives faster than the ML63 AMG W164 ST2

— Very pleasant and small fuel consumption

Cons:

— In terms of steering, it's a cow (even in Dynamic mode)

— Completely lacks exhaust sound, it feels like you're driving a Tesla :)

— Boring! The car lacks any emotions and you only know that you're going fast by the Racelogic figures :) because your rear is in complete peace)
