A short explanation of why I chose the BMW 5 series.
I have always been a fan of Mercedes. I was drawn to the entire E-class lineup, the entire S-class lineup. I always liked the BMW X6, but when the GLE-Coupe came out, I was excited about the thought of having the same X6, but from Mercedes.
When the restyling of the 212 body came out, I vowed to buy it sooner or later, because I was drawn to this car - for me there was no more perfect car.
When the 213 body came out, I initially did not like the rear of the car: even in the AMG package there are no gills on the rear bumper, the diffuser seems to be raised upwards, the lights do not look as harmonious as on the S-class and C-class. On the W212 rest. I think the rear lights were a highlight, as well as the bumper with gills.
But, nevertheless, by 2019 the W212 was a little outdated, especially the interior - this is almost a classic. I understood that I am taking a car that will lose its value even more in a few years and switched to the W213. The interior is chic. Almost all cars in stock have 2 huge monitors and a sunroof! (for Mercedes, a sunroof raised at the back is just pure pleasure and +100500 to the exterior).
But tastes change, by the way.
When the new BMW G30 body came out, something in me flipped. I had doubts. I didn't like the rear lights at first, but, over time, I got used to them.
I started to analyze the market on 2 fronts, watched both models and realized how less and less I am attracted to the W213 and how much more I am attracted to the G30. The interior has become noticeably more interesting compared to the previous 5 series, and the W213 interior already seems too simple and minimalistic to me. No, the W213 interior is gorgeous, but I have a strong feeling of its "simplicity", which I do not have for the G30 interior.
About the configuration - mostly empty, except for a large screen and maximum instrumentation.
Seats - fabric and Alcantara.
Sophisto grey color - this is very, very gray).
Possible (but not a fact) plans for the future:
— Change the interior to a comfortable one (leather seats with memory and ventilation);
— Install door closers;
— Chip tuning HAVE;
— Body wrapping with protective film HAVE;
— Installation of a lower lip on the front bumper HAVE;
— Installation of a spoiler on the trunk HAVE;
— Installation of overlays on the thresholds HAVE;
— 20-inch wheels HAVE;
